Time is Running Out

Welcome to what promises to be the last post of our blog. From Atlanta we headed east to Savannah and Charleston were we enjoyed three days of lounging around in the parks. We also visited a plantation, the old slave market and took several walks around the towns. After that we headed north via Morehead City were I did some wreck diving. It was supposed to be shark diving but one of the divers on board was afraid of sharks so everyone else had to accommodate her. I wonder why you would go diving at a site famous for sharks if you're afraid of them … Idiot! Not soon after, we arrived in DC to stay with Bianca and Branden (Micki's cousin and her boyfriend). It was great to have a comfortable bed for more than one night and DC has a lot to offer. We spent a couple of days supporting the US economy (shopping way too much and having drinks on roof top bars with B&B) and another couple of days visiting the museums. We visited the Museum of Natural History which is great but then we went to the Air & Space Museum which was even better! Finally we found out that the Air & Space Museum has a huge hangar out by Dulles Airport so we went there. It was the coolest museum ever! They have a Space Shuttle, The Enola Gay (the bomber that dropped the first atomic bomb), tons of fighters including the F-14 Tomcat and several of the first planes ever built. They also have a Concorde, The SR-71 Blackbird and several of the Apollo and Gemini capsules! AWESOME I tell you!
Finally the 4th of July came around but my body decided that I would miss the celebrations and I came down with the flu. After traditional burgers and hot dogs on B&B's patio Micki got to go down to The Mall and enjoy the fireworks along with millions of other people. On Sunday I was still feeling ill so Micki went to see Tiger Woods play in the PGA Tour while I was curing my flu and watching the Wimbledon final on TV.
Well it's been almost 9 months since we left Helsinki and on the 7th we take that final flight home so we thought we would put together a little list for you. Our own set of Top 5's in some conventional and unconventional categories:
